Creating a bridge between School and Adulthood
The Owl Learning Centre (OLC) focuses on fostering growth, skills development, and empowerment to make decisions related to independent living for individuals with Developmental Disabilities in the Ottawa area.
The OLC is designed to provide participants with a well-rounded set of skills for transitioning into adulthood and independent living. Individuals 18 years and older who have left school will benefit from the use of person directed planning to develop goals and create a positive and possible future. Individuals involved in OLC will have the opportunity to build skills in the areas of activities of daily living, independence, community connections, and employment training opportunities in our social enterprises.
Referrals to the program are received from Developmental Service Ontario-Eastern Region for funded vacancies. Individuals and families may also purchase service using Passport or private funds depending on availability.
